7 Transfers That won’t but should happen!

Barcelona already secured Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan, Riyad Mahrez is not leaving Leicester City and lots of rumours and speculation regarding the future of every single football player on this planet. We take a look at a few transfers that are probably not going to happen in the upcoming winter transfer window but would make the season much more interesting.

Javier Hernandez to Arsenal:

The Gunners stole Mesut Özil from Real Madrid, Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona and Petr Cech from Chelsea so going after Javier Hernandez is only normal for Arsene Wenger, especially if the Mexican has been recommended by Sanchez. Manchester United offloaded Chicharito to Bayer Leverkusen but the striker ended up scoring for fun in the Bundesliga and the Champions League, would he say no to a return to the Premier League?

Ilkay Gündogan to Juventus:

The Old Lady’s bad start to the season highlighted the lack of depth at Juventus. The Bianconeri finished 2015 in the best possible way returning to the top 4 and qualifying to the next round in the Champions League. If they are to build on that then an ideal signing would be Borussia Dortmund’s Gündogan who may cost a lot of money but could fit well along with Paul Pogba and Sami Khedira in the middle, what makes the signing even better is that he’s not cup tied for the Champions League but Juventus will have to face competition from several teams for the German international.

Giuseppe Rossi to Real Betis:

The American-born Italian was one of the most talented footballers of his generation but injuries pulled him down. Now that he’s fit, he has his final chance to prove himself. A return to La Liga would be ideal for him as he’s already proved himself in the league with Villarreal.

Victor Valdes to Newcastle United

The former Barcelona goalkeeper should be the first player to move once the transfer window opens. The Spanish keeper has no reason to stay at United after falling out with manager Louis van Gaal in the summer. Newcastle United is one possible destination for the goalkeeper if he decides to stay in the Premier League but there’s plenty of choices especially in La Liga and the MLS.

Ayoze Perez to Manchester United

The Spanish striker could be involved in a swap with Victor Valdes if Newcastle decide to sign the goalkeeper. The player himself confirmed Manchester United’s interest in him but they are not the only team. Despite the shown interest, the player seems intent on finishing the season with the same club. Anyway, there’s no reason for the Red Devils to rush the signing especially since the 22-year-old has only scored 11 goals since the start of last season.

Robert Lewandowski to Real Madrid

On the last four occasions that the world transfer record has been broken, it’s been the Real Madrid doing it, though, they don’t do it during the winter transfer window. The future of all three elements of the BBC is in doubt at the Bernabeu so why shouldn’t Florentino Perez use his best weapon and sign Robert Lewandowski?

Salvatore Sirigu to Roma

Roma were supposed to be prime contenders for Serie A this season but somehow their defense failed to live up to expectations. Wojciech Szczesny is not having his best season so the Giallorossi may opt to sign Italian Sirigu from PSG. The goalkeeper has been relegated to the bench by the French club and he’s looking for first team football ahead of the European championship next summer.
